It’s made from an old metal basket, weaved with light creamy knit yarn and manila rope.
The inside of the basket is finished with light beige cotton with black stripes and white lace.
The cushion case is made from the same fabric and you can take off both of them for washing.
The ladder is made out of plywood and hempen rope. It can be unhooked or attached on the front or on the side of the basket.

This playful pet bed is made out of a leather suitcase and recycled furniture legs painted in turquoise.
I’ve added handmade drawer (covered with paint and varnish) for a storage space. Also there’s a cushion with two cases – owl print and turquoise – with zippers for easy maintenance.
The suitcase itself has been reinforced with two plywood sheets – painted and varnished – one is placed inside of the suitcase, the other underneath it.
All of my makes are available here.
And if you would like to do some makeovers of your own, here’s some tutorials.
I decoupaged the inside of the unit with old books, magazines pages and the table on the top with old Cambridge center map. All decoupage was then covered with matt varnish for easy cleaning and maintenance.
Shelves were made of 9mm plywood, subtly dyed white and covered with wax.
There is a small metal fitting on the side off the unit, signed by previous owner “Paul” 🙂
